Getting your player ready...

Corey Dickerson. (Andy Cross, The Denver Post)

Corey Dickerson, who broke two ribs sliding for a catch on June 30, was scheduled for his first live batting practice on Monday. But rain and wind scuttled that idea.

“I could play today,” Dickerson said, half-jokingly. “I’ve been hitting in the cage for four to five days. I don’t worry about it anymore. I worried about it at first, but I don’t even think about it now.”

Weiss said the Rockies haven’t decided on a timeline for Dickerson, who also is dealing with lingering foot inflammation.

“We have to weigh the pros and cons of whether we want to put him back out there in competition or let everything heal up,” he said.
