Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies and federal officers eradicated a large, illegal marijuana grow site in the Routt National Forest up on Buffalo Pass Friday morning.
Two Mexican nationals, who were in the country illegally and camping at the grow site, were taken into custody without incident.
They have been charged with the manufacturing of marijuana.
Routt County Undersheriff Ray Birch said authorities seized more than 1,000 marijuana plants from the 3/4-acre site.
