Broomfield’s Eagles have made it into the season’s first USA Today/National Soccer Coaches Association of America boys poll.
The Eagles are No. 13.
Top-ranked is Wesleyan Christian Academy of High Point, N.C.
Broomfield, which won its first two games of the season, is the only Colorado team listed in the top 25 teams as well as 20 others listed who received votes.
As of early this week, Jim Davidson’s Eagles downed Standley Lake 2-1 on Aug. 27 and Adams City 3-0 on Sept. 1.
The Class 5A Eagles, who won the state championship a year ago in their first year among big schools by downing five playoff foes in a combined 13-1, next will take on Heritage at home on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
