Through Sept. 13: Artist and curator Patty Ortiz has contributed mightily to the Front Range arts scene, shepherding the Museo de las Americas through its golden age before moving on to solo projects a few years back. She’s at it again, curating a stellar show at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. As usual, Oritz has a knotty theme — flatness — although the 10 artists in the exhibit prove the concept has a lot of depth. Prepare to spend some time with Rebecca DiDomenico’s “Emanate,” a heroic effort transforming a series road maps into an elaborate construction resembling lace. Also on view: Matthew Chambers, Carlos Aires, Jesse Amado, Xochi Solis and others. Through sept. 13, BMoCA, 1750 13th St., Boulder. Admission is just $1. 303-443-2122 or .
