1 Man terrorizes King Soopers. Two men stepped out of their vehicles Aug. 21 at King Soopers at 15200 W. 64th Ave. in Arvada and began fighting. One was knocked unconscious, and the assailant pulled a knife and threatened to slice the throat of a bystander. Police found the intoxicated suspect shortly after, and he was arrested for driving under a suspended license and violation of a protection order, among other charges.
2 Smash, no grab. Video cameras captured footage of a man jumping out of a Toyota 4Runner on Aug. 13 at Arvada Rent-Alls, 10675 Ralston Road, Arvada, and smashing the front glass window with a large rock before fleeing.
3 Breaking up is hard to do. Arvada police arrested a woman for harassment Aug. 22 in the 8700 block of Chase Street, Arvada, after a jilted ex-girlfriend showed up at her ex-boyfriend’s house unannounced. It was the third time in one day she had tracked him down through Facebook and mutual friends.
4 Couples counseling? A woman frustrated that her boyfriend wouldn’t perform requested sex acts punched him in the face while he slept Aug. 23 at their home in the 5500 block of Newland Way, Arvada. The next day, he ignored an ultimatum and was threatened with a knife. She was arrested.
5 Chest bump leads to arrest. Police arrested a man for false imprisonment and domestic violence Aug. 20 in the 6300 block of Nelson Street, Arvada, after he chest bumped his wife into a closet and wouldn’t allow her to leave.
