Getting your player ready...

Saturday: There’s an especially good reason to attend New Belgium Brewing’s Tour de Fat this year, provided the leisurely bike parade, thousands of wacky costumes and entertaining, craft beer-driven diversions aren’t reason enough. Fort Collins-based New Belgium’s annual bike rallies, which kicked off last weekend in their hometown and visit Denver’s City Park this weekend, also feature tongue-in-cheek sideshow entertainment such as puppet comedy shows, slow-motion bike races, costume contests, a circus tent, and live music from acts such as In the Whale, a rising Colorado duo whose live show is a must-see. All proceeds from the free event, which runs 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on City Park’s west side, go to area nonprofits. See for bike parade map and details.
