1 Serial sacking. An employee at Stone Mountain Elementary School, 10625 Weathersfield Way, Highlands Ranch, on Aug. 30 reported someone vandalized the community garden, ripping up plants and causing $580 in damage. She said a vandal damaged the garden a week prior, but the school did not report it. Thirty volunteers worked to restore the garden before the second incident.
2 Bad round? An employee at Castle Pines Golf Club,1000 Hummingbird Drive, Castle Pines, on Sept. 3 found a weather cover had been ripped off an outdoor cabinet there. Several drawers were broken off but nothing was missing.
3 Broken home. A property owner preparing to move into a new home in the 7600 block of Homestead Drive, Douglas County, visited the house on Aug. 30 to find someone had entered through a back door and stolen a laptop and television and rifled through several boxes.
4 Creepy visitor. A woman living in the 600 block of Scorpio Drive, Douglas County, reported that someone had been repeatedly entering her backyard and leaving the gates open. On Sept. 2, she went outside just after midnight and noticed her dog was agitated. She heard the side gate clang closed but did not spot who had been in her yard.
5 Cold move. A building manager in the 3100 block of Commerce Court, Douglas County, said someone discharged an entire fire extinguisher in the boiler room Aug. 30.
6 Plastered. Someone poured paint all over a man’s car in the 49oo block of Raintree Drive, Douglas County, on Sept. 2.
