Saturday: The PBS Kids brand is as strong as ever with educational cartoons such as “Clifford the Big Red Dog,” the math-centric “Peg + Cat” and everyone’s favorite monkey (and toddler stand-in) Curious George. Rocky Mountain PBS will gather costumed characters from those shows and more on Saturday as part of its annual Rocky Mountain PBS Kids Fun Fest, a free event made possible by (what else?) private and corporate sponsorship. The family-friendly block party takes place in the Rocky Mountain PBS parking lot with live stage performances (dancing, music, singalongs), food trucks and play-focused activities such as cup stacking, jump rope, tennis, arts and crafts, bounce houses and more. 10 a.m.-2 p.m., rain or shine, 1089 Bannock St. Free. 303-892-6666 or
