Coach John Wristen boasts a remarkable program at CSU-Pueblo. The ThunderWolves won the Division II National Championship last season. Explanations continue to surface explaining the team’s success — talent. Former CSU-Pueblo and Fort Morgan high school star Ryan Jensen returns home this Sunday as the Baltimore Ravens face the Denver Broncos.
Jensen, a sixth-round draft pick in 2013, continues to improve in Baltimore after spending all but one game the past two seasons on the practice squad. He is listed as Baltimore’s third-string center. His performance this summer stood out, leaving coach John Harbaugh bullish on the 6-foot-4, 310-pounder.
“Ryan has really come on this year. He was really good his rookie year then dropped off a little bit last year due to some physical injuries. And this year he’s taken it to a whole new level,” Harbaugh said Wednesday. “His work ethic has just been incredible. He has played all five positions for us throughout training camp. He gives us a lot of versatility and a lot of depth in there. He’s proven that he can definitely play in the National Football League.”
