1 Cigarette butt causes neighbor dispute. On Aug. 24, a man called Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies after he saw his neighbor throw a cigarette butt in the street in the 4000 block of South Zang Street in the Morrison area. The reporting party showed the deputy a video of the incident and the suspect was given a ticket. He had previously been warned by another deputy.
2 Golf ball-sized object breaks windshield. A man called deputies on Aug. 23 after his windshield was damaged while driving near the intersection of South Kipling Parkway and West Chatfield Avenue in the Ken-Caryl area. The man said he heard a loud noise and saw some glass land on his seat. The object did not enter the car, but it was the size of a golf ball.
3 Fence posts damaged. On Aug. 25, a man called deputies to report damage to fence posts on his property in the 10000 block of West Sampson Road in the Ken-Caryl area. The victim said he is having a privacy fence built to keep out his neighbor. The neighbor denied any wrongdoing.
4 Car damaged by hand. A woman called deputies on Aug. 24 after she noticed damage to her car in the 10000 block of West Patterson Place in the Littleton area. The woman said she found a 4-inch dent and some fingerprints on the car. The damage appeared to be caused by someone’s hand.
5 Truck window broken. On Aug. 26, a man called a deputy after he found the rear driver’s side passenger window broken on his truck in the 6000 block of West Long Drive in the Littleton area
