A Weld County SWAT team took a suspect into custody after a 2½-hour standoff Tuesday night.

SWAT was deployed to the 2000 block of Arbor Drive in Evans to deliver a high-risk warrant at about 7 p.m., according to a Weld County Sheriff’s release.

The suspect was wanted for failing to appear on charges of resisting an officer, contempt of court, felony eluding and attempted second-degree assault on a peace officer.

SWAT took the unidentified man into custody at 9:34 p.m.
