Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton speaks in Ankeny, Iowa, last month. (Charlie Neibergall, The Associated Press)
Re: “Why Hillary Clinton remains, yes, inevitable,” Sept. 4 Charles Krauthammer column.
As a devout conservative, Charles Krauthammer naturally focuses on the blunder of Hillary Clinton using her “private” e-mails for conveying sensitive information, but he just as naturally ignores forgiving factors. He refuses to acknowledge that her responsibilities as secretary of state demanded that she continuously inform and discuss such breaking matters with subordinates and experts prompting a flood of such messages. She didn’t post such information on a Facebook page, after all, and itap unrealistic to expect her to sign in and out of various official and personal e-mail accounts as her on-duty, sometimes quite long, days progressed.
Let he or she who has not paused during the day to send the kids a reminder of a dentistap appointment, or drop the boss a thought on a current project, using the “wrong” e-mail account, cast the first stone.
