Thornton police are investigating a bank robbery Thursday morning.

The robbery happened at about 11 a.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank on the 9800 North Grant Street.

“Witnesses stated that an adult white male entered the bank and approached a teller,” police said in a news release. “The suspect demanded money and then fled the bank. The suspect ran northbound from the bank. No weapons were displayed by the suspect.”

No injuries were reported, police said.

Police say the suspect is a white man, about 5-feet 10-inches tall who was wearing a long-sleeve gray shirt, dark colored pants, sunglasses and a baseball cap.

“The case remains an open and active investigation,” the release said.
