1 Punching buildings. Police were called to the McDonald’s at 16891 E. Iliff Ave. because a man was standing outside, repeatedly punching the wall with his bare fists Sept. 4. The suspect left before police arrived, but management said he caused $500 worth of damage to the stucco.

2 Out of business. A tattoo artist who lives in the 16300 block of East Colfax Avenue came home from work Sept. 1 and noticed that the window screen in his daughter’s bedroom was ripped out. He realized that someone came in and stole his tattooing supplies, including his tattoo gun and the power cords.

3 Bad borrower. A third-grade student at Meadow Point Elementary, 17901 E. Grand Ave., asked another boy if he could borrow his cell phone Sept. 12. The kid never brought the phone back, so the victim’s mother called police and sent them to the suspect’s house.

4 A long way from home. Police stopped a suspicious vehicle around East 13th Avenue and Sable Boulevard on Sept. 4 and discovered that the car was stolen. The driver said the car belonged to her grandmother, but it was actually registered to a woman in Arizona.

5 Road bikes stolen. A woman who lives in the 11000 block of East 26th Place called police because someone stole two of her bicycles from her garage while she was at work Sept. 5. Together, the bikes cost $4,000.

6 Unverified accusations. A man reported that his ex girlfriend tried to run him over with her car in the area of South Helena Court and East Arizona Avenue on Sept. 9, but then he hung up. Police were unable to investigate the case.
