Interview with Bob Keating, owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: The desire to be involved in providing toys to children in Jefferson County by donating a portion of our money to the Action Center’s Santa Shop.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: Fifty percent of the merchandise in our store is new, and 50 percent is from estate sales. Therefore we have a selection of unique things for sale. We have collectibles, antiques, books, toys, furniture, lamps, household items, tools, artwork and new socks.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: Having the satisfaction that thousands of children have toys for Christmas.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: Putting things on the shelf that customers will buy and at a price that it will sell.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: That I have the best prices in town. We are located north of West Colfax Avenue and west of Kipling Street in Lakewood.
