Q: How did you get involved in this business?
A: I got involved in this business while I was an administrator at high-end preschools in the Denver suburbs. The typical waitlist to get into these elite schools is at least two years. With families being at a loss for childcare, I saw the need for customized nanny placement services. Finding a quality nanny is not easy and finding someone who you can trust is even more difficult.
Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
A: Once we find you a perfect nanny, our relationship continues from there. The Nanny Boutique adopts best practices from preschools, providing parents with daily reports, programmed play and educational activities. We provide training and mentoring for our nannies and families throughout their relationship. Enhancing the home with education and providing a positive learning environment is our goal. We stand behind our nannies and their ability to provide such customized services.
Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
A: Knowing we help create an environment of trust between the nanny and family through training and mentorship. This trust is built through our hands-on approach with in-home customized services. I am able to take my previous experience training teachers in preschools and customize in-home training to meet the individual needs of every family.
Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
A: Our biggest challenge is to help the families clearly define their wants and needs to ensure we find the perfect nanny, rather than just a good nanny.
