1 Illegal scuba dive. Jeffco Sheriff’s deputies went to Evergreen Lake on Sept. 10 on a call that two people were scuba diving in the lake without permission. The lake manager and a deputy went out on the lake in a boat and contacted the pair, who admitted to scuba diving in the lake in search of a pair of expensive sunglasses, even though the manager had denied them permission. They were each issued a summons for trespassing.

2 Man enters house, pours beer on ex. A resident of the 23000 block of Nampeyo Road, Indian Hills, reported Sept. 9 that her ex-boyfriend broke into her house, poured beer on her while she was asleep and punched a hole in a door before leaving. When deputies later contacted the suspect, he cooperated and shared text messages that showed he was invited to enter the house. He was arrested for harassment and criminal mischief.

3 Neighbor crosses invisible line. A resident of the 11000 block of Green Court, Conifer, reported Sept. 9 that her neighbor was walking on her property and refused to leave, and that he was drunk. The property lines were not marked, so deputies said they could not file a trespassing notice.

4 Dirty mystery. A resident of the 23000 block of San Isabel Road, Indian Hills, reported Sept. 7 there had been suspicious activity in her flower beds all summer. She said it appeared someone was dumping “crappy dirt” on areas where she placed topsoil and mulch. She initially suspected voles but later ruled them out. Deputies suggested she set up a wildlife camera to record the culprit.
