Re: “Ben Carson shows how not to reach the Oval Office,” Sept. 23 editorial.

How dare you criticize Ben Carson for being knowledgeable about the teachings of the Koran? If a Muslim holds true to the teachings of Islam, the Constitution is entirely incompatible with his faith. Dr. Carson correctly asserts that this is a conflict which is unacceptable to any true Muslim and any American who respects our laws.

I understand that secular progressives reserve their right to redefine the English language, especially on matters of religion. I’d imagine our president buttresses this sense of false morality by claiming to be a “Christian” while living virtually his entire life in opposition to the teachings of the Bible. Try reading all 114 surahs of the Koran and then have the courage to print an apology and correction to your ill-informed editorializing.
