Denver prosecutors have charged a man in connection with a last week, officials said Thursday.

Jesse L. Oliver, 32, was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree assault in a shooting that left 34-year-old Bobby Brown dead and a 17-year-old wounded outside of an apartment building in the 1300 block of Albrook Drive on Sept. 16, according to a Denver District Attorney news release.

Oliver was arrested at the of the crime and remains in custody where he is being held without bond.

His first court appearance has not yet been set, the release said.
