Wells Fargo & Co. has opened its sixth downtown Denver branch, between Union Station and Coors Field, the banking firm said Friday.
The branch at 1920 Chestnut Place is next to the new King Soopers, downtown’s first full-service grocery store, which opened in August. It will be open six days a week with an ATM and night drop for businesses.
“Our goal is to provide our customers the ability to do their banking business when, where and how they want,” said Frank Newman, Wells Fargo’s lead region president for the Rocky Mountain Region. “Having access to an extensive store and ATM network is important to our customers, and we’re pleased to accommodate their needs by adding this new store.”
The new location is a LEED-certified building and features a mural depicting the history of the neighborhood around Union Station and the Auraia campus.
Wells Fargo has 170 locations across Colorado. Another branch is set to open early next year in Parker.
