ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — A suspected would-be party crasher is facing a theft charge after police say he stole a credential and tried to get into an Aspen conference featuring former secretary of state Colin Powell.
The Aspen Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1MAZGPV) officers arrested 59-year-old Herb Beshar on Saturday at the St. Regis Aspen. He has been charged with misdemeanor theft.
Aspen Police Sgt. Chip Seamans says Beshar was apprehended before he made it into the party.
It’s unclear whether Beshar has a lawyer.
