
Denver-area gas prices are continuing to fall, notching an average of $2.43 per gallon to start the week, according to ‘s weekly fuel data released Monday.
Fuel prices fell by 6.9 cents in Denver, and Colorado’s average prices fell 9 cents to $2.46 per gallon, bringing the local prices closer to the national average of $2.29 per gallon. Nationally, average prices were unchanged during the past week.
Colorado has the 13th most expensive gas in the nation. Alaska and California’s averages are the highest, at $2.99 per gallon. Kentucky has the least expensive gas, at $2.30 per gallon.
“Retail gasoline prices should be expected to continue a slow but steady descent consistent with what typically occurs when cheaper ‘winter blend’ gasoline becomes more available as we near the beginning of the fourth quarter,” Gregg Laskoski, GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst, said in a statement.
