For the record: Oakland, coming off a 22-20 loss to the previously winless Chicago Bears, is 2-2.
Who’s hot: Veteran defensive back Charles Woodson, 38. He has two interceptions, three pass deflections and 11 tackles in the Raiders’ past two games.
Who’s not: Oakland’s linebackers and safeties when covering the tight end. The Raiders have given up an NFL-leading 388 yards and six touchdowns to tight ends through four games. That should get Denver’s Owen Daniels and Virgil Green excited.
Key stat: Oakland’s defense has eight sacks in the past two games, including three sacks by outside linebacker Khalil Mack.
FYI: First-year Raiders coach Jack Del Rio will be trying to beat his former team Sunday. He had a three-year stint as Denver’s defensive coordinator before leaving to take the Oakland job.
Injury report: Wide receiver Michael Crabtree (ankle) and running back Latavius Murray (shoulder) are banged up. Safety TJ Carrie left the Chicago game because of a chest injury and did not return.
Coachspeak: After being favored to win for the first time in 27 games, the Raiders lost at Chicago and blew an opportunity to be 3-1 for the first time since 2001. “We’ll take ownership of what happened and move on,” Del Rio said.
