Littleton gave final approval this week to a 160-unit, mixed-use senior community to be built just east of the city’s downtown.
The development, dubbed The Grove and located at 2100 West Littleton Blvd., will feature apartments for tenants 55 and older, nearly 11,000 square feet of retail space and 317 parking spaces.
Other amenities of The Grove will include a pool and outdoor deck, a dog park, a small amphitheater, and a bike shop.
Littleton Mayor Phil Cernanec said the new development provides an option “for those who want an alternative to a single-family home” in the city.
The city said it “rigorously reviewed” the proposal over a 10-month period to ensure it met all applicable requirements of the city code.
