ASPEN, Colo. (AP) — Passengers leaving Aspen on Republic Airlines have been experiencing major delays since the end of the September.
The Aspen Times reports (http://bit.ly/1L8Dl9U ) that data from FlightStats.com shows that since Sept. 27, 34 percent of Republic Airlines’ flights have been delayed. There has been at least one delayed flight every day.
The Indianapolis-based regional carrier experienced three days on Friday ranging from 75 minutes to six hours.
Aspen-Pitkin County Airport Director John Kinney says airport officials have noticed an uptick in complaints about Republic’s predictability.
Republic Vice President of Flight Operations Pat Gannon released a statement Wednesday saying they are looking into the cause of recent delays in Aspen and will make changes as needed.
