Police in Lakewood are asking for the public’s help in finding a 68-year-old man who they say apparently walked away from a care center Wednesday and not been seen since.
Douglass Brian Manuel was last spotted about 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Cambridge Care Center in the 1600 block of Eaton Street.
Police say Manuel is black, about 5-feet 8-inches tall and weighs roughly 145 pounds.
“He was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, camouflaged pants and a red beanie,” police said in a news release Thursday. “Manuel does not have any mental deficiencies, but does have physical health issues. He is taking medication regularly and most likely does not have the medication with him.”
The Cambridge Care Center nursing staff told investigators Manuel “will need those medications very soon.”
Anyone with information on Manuel’s whereabouts is asked to call police at 303-987-7111.
