The Avalanche finished last season 23rd in goals-per game, at 2.55, and had the 29th power play (15 percent). It’s early, but the Avs are off to a great offensive start, with 10 goals in two games and an NHL-leading 66.7 percent power play.

Colorado earned its first win Saturday, rallying from a 3-1 deficit and beating the Dallas Stars 6-3 at the Pepsi Center. The evolving game story will refresh with quotes.

Jarome Iginla is usually a slow-starting, big-time scorer. But the 38-year-old already has two power-play goals. Teammates Erik Johnson, John Mitchell and Gabe Landeskog also have multiple-goals for the season. Landeskog has three. Here’s Iginla:
