Broncos defensive end Malik Jackson braced for the possibility of a fine this week, but the discipline surprised him.

Jackson told The Denver Post on Wednesday he was fined $17,363 for a horse-collar tackle during the Raiders game. He said has not yet been fined for tossing the football back at Michael Crabtree.

“I am definitely appealing this. All I did was ride him out on the tackle,” said a disappointed Jackson.
