The program Uber developed and tested in Colorado will now be implemented across the ride-hailing company’s network nationwide, officials said Wednesday.
, a unit of the San Francisco-based transportation company, developed a program that pushed the notifications that ask the public to aid in the search for an abducted child to Uber drivers via text alerts.
In July, deployed the program to thousands of drivers.
The national launch spans drivers in more than 180 cities across the United States.
