, the folk rockers who once toured with on their “Rumors” tour, have announced they’ll play a Denver show later this year to cap off a six-month string of U.S. concerts.

Organized by Swallow Hill Music, the Boulder-born band will play the L2 Church on December 3. It will mark Swallow Hill’s first show at the venue since December 2013.

If you don’t know who Firefall is, you probably should. Founded by two members of Graham Parson’s Flying Burrito Brothers, the Boulder-based outfit burst into the national spotlight in the late 70’s. They released a self-titled album on Atlantic Records that was at the time the fastest to achieve RIAA Gold status (500,000 units sold). On the strength of singles like “Livin’ Ain’t Livin'” and “Cinderalla,” the band went on to tour with the likes of The Band, Tom Waits, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Fleetwood Mac before falling off in the early 80’s.

They were earlier this year along with Steven Stills, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Poco and Manassas.

Tickets to Firefall’s show at the L2 Church go on sale Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. via .
