KUSA-Channel 9 will distribute free antennas at noon Monday at the Pepsi Center through a promotion with Antennas Direct.
The antennas are intended to assist cord-cutters, those who watch “over the top” broadcast signals, to get a better picture.
More people — especially young people — are continuing to cut the cord.
In the Denver market as of July 2015, 14 percent of homes (218,640 homes) have over-air broadcast signals only, an increase from 13 percent a year earlier.
Some 46 percent have hard-wired cable. And 40 percent have satellite subscriptions, according to Nielsen data.
