Interstate 70 is now open in Idaho Springs after a fuel spill closed a portion of the westbound lanes.

Several gallons of diesel fuel spilled across the westbound lanes on I-70 near mile marker 240 after a semi-truck fuel tank ruptured, causing state patrol hazmat units and Idaho Springs police to respond to the incident.

There were no injuries reported, said state patrol spokesman Josh Lewis.

Lewis was unsure what caused the tank to rupture.
