Gov. John Hickenlooper is wrapping up a two-week trade mission with a visit to Israel.
On Monday, Hickenlooper met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and also visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem, one of the holiest sites in Judaism.
In a statement, Hickenlooper said that Colorado has a long history of unwavering support for Israel and stands in solidarity with the country. He also said he wanted to demonstrate that Jerusalem is open and welcoming to people of all beliefs.
During his trip, Hickenlooper also visited China and Japan, Colorado’s third- and fourth-largest export markets, and Turkey.
