LONDON (AP) — Is the long wait almost over for fans?
Four years after her last album, the singer appears to have teased British television viewers with a snippet of new music, broadcast during an ad break on prime-time TV.
Earlier this year, Reverb named as one of the . A new Adele song release would suggest the wait may be coming to a close soon.
The 30-second ad shown Sunday evening during TV talent show “The X Factor” featured Adele’s distinctive tones over a black screen on which heartache-filled lyrics appeared.
The ad ended with an ellipsis and contained neither Adele’s name nor a release date for a new album.
The London-born diva won six Grammy Awards for her 2011 album “21,” and took home an Academy Award for
Adele’s publicist declined to comment Monday.
