
A memorial in Denver’s City Park for a police officer slain in a 2012 shooting was vandalized last week, and investigators are searching for those responsible.
Police say the monument to Officer Celena Hollis was sprayed Oct. 15 with profane graffiti denouncing law enforcement.

Oliver fired his gun randomly into a crowded area, fatally striking Hollis. He was , the maximum penalty.
“We’re looking for information about it,” Doug Schepman, a police spokesman, said of the vandalism.
The city’s executive director of public safety, Stephanie O’Malley, said she was “appalled and saddened” by the graffiti.
, protesters spilled red paint on a fallen-officer memorial outside Denver police headquarters. Two men were arrested and charged.
