1 Pot-fueled jog. A man heard glass breaking in his backyard in the 6400 block of South Louthan Street, Littleton, just after 1 a.m. Sept. 28. He saw branches had been cut for a potted marijuana plant. He went into the alley and caught a man trying to carry off the branches. He called police and chased the man. Police caught up to two men nearby and asked the first man what he was doing. He said he was just jogging, but he smelled of pot. He and a friend who drove him to the area were cited.

2 Knife menace. A man sitting in his car in the 3800 block of Acoma Street, Englewood, was approached by a man who began cursing at him unprovoked. The suspect pulled a knife, kicked the car and made death threats. Police arrested him.

3 Wanted man nabbed. Police received reports of a wanted man in the 300 block of East Hampden Avenue, Englewood, on Oct. 13. They contacted the 20-year-old suspect and found cocaine in his possession. He faces felony charges.

4 Fire trashes laundry room. Police responded to a trash fire in an apartment complex’s laundry room in the 5500 block of Windermere Street, Littleton, on Sept. 28. The flames climbed 4 feet up the wall before crews doused it. The building manager said teenagers had been seen smoking there.

5 Officers help needy family. Two officers checked on a couple and their 4-month-old baby on Oct. 12. The couple was begging for money in the 1200 block of East Hampden Avenue, Englewood, because they could not afford formula. The officer paid for formula and other goods for them.
