FILM: Mile High Sci-Fi scares up “Poltergeist” parody

Across multiple venues, 200-plus shows and standing-room-only appearances at the Denver Comic Con, Mile High Sci-Fi has impaled the worst genre films Hollywood has to offer in the style of cult TV series “Mystery Science Theatre 3000” (meaning live, and in person). To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Mile High Sci-Fi plans to tackle a legitimately freaky classic in the form of 1982’s “Poltergeist,” which reunites longtime commentator/host Harrison Rains with co-creator Matt Vogl — returning in place of the sh0w’s normally rotating list of stand-up comics and improvisers. The 18-and-up show starts at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Alamo Drafthouse Littleton, 7301 S. Santa Fe Drive, #850. 720-588-4107 or .
