A Loveland man was cited Thursday for allegedly swiping political signs.

Jeff Goody, 51, was issued a summons for the alleged theft of two political signs, violating a Loveland municipal ordinance, according to a Loveland Police Department media release.

A witness reported to police Thursday seeing someone taking signs from the corner of South Taft Avenue and 14th Street SW, the release said. The same witness obtained a vehicle license plate number of the person who took the signs and passed it on to police.

Investigators traced the plate number to Goody.

Loveland police continue to investigate political sign thefts that have occurred around the city. Anyone with information on the thefts or on possible suspects is asked to contact police.
