BUTTE, Mont. (AP) — Police say a 54-year-old Colorado woman has died in Butte after she was pulled from a pool at a nearby resort.
The Montana Standard (http://bit.ly/1WfYfyq ) reports that the woman from Lakewood, Colorado, was playing with a 4-year-old girl from Anaconda, Montana, in the pool at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort on Sunday night.
Butte-Silver Bow County Undersheriff George Skuletich says the two disappeared under the water around 7:30 p.m. and bystanders promptly pulled them out and performed CPR.
Authorities have not yet released the name of the woman or explained her relationship to the girl.
The undersheriff says the girl is in stable condition at a Missoula hospital.
Coroner Lee LaBreche says the woman’s cause of death is still being investigated.
