A local auto theft task force took two people into custody Thursday afternoon.
The Colorado Metropolitan Auto Theft Task Force was conducting surveillance in the 7500 block of E. Harvard Avenue in Arapahoe County for a suspect wanted on a felony warrant and in possession of a stolen vehicle on Thursday morning, according to an Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office news release.
The suspect fled in a vehicle, hitting two unmarked law enforcement vehicles and several parked vehicles, the release said.
Police pursued the suspect briefly until the suspect’s vehicle became disabled at 9th Street and Colorado Boulevard in Denver around 12:05 p.m.
The suspect then fled on foot until officers took him and his female passenger into custody.
The suspects’ identities have not yet been released.
