It’ll likely be much of the same for the Broncos’ offensive line Sunday night against the Packers. The team was hopeful rookie tackle Ty Sambrailo would be able to return from his shoulder injury this week, but coach Gary Kubiak on Friday listed him as doubtful to play against Green Bay.
“We need to go back and really evaluate,” Kubiak said. “It has a lot to do with how he’s coming out of practice more than anything.”
Kubiak said he could upgrade Sambrailo’s status Saturday depending on how he feels. Sambrailo practiced all week, but hasn’t shown the team enough strength yet.
Slot receiver Jordan Norwood is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury he suffered in practice Friday. Kubiak said they would have to evaluate him and see how he feels Saturday to determine if he will play.
If Norwood is unable to play, the additional snaps likely would be split among receivers Bennie Fowler, Cody Latimer and Andre Caldwell.
Outside linebacker Shane Ray will not play Sunday with his right MCL sprain. He is expected to miss a few weeks.
Cornerback Aqib Talib, receiver Emmanuel Sanders, outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware, safety Omar Bolden, running back Juwan Thompson, linebacker Corey Nelson, outside linebacker Von Miller, tight end Owen Daniels and tackle Ryan Harris are listed as probable.
Safety David Bruton will address the 1997 Broncos Super Bowl team at practice Saturday on behalf of the current team.
Former Broncos receiver Rod Smith, the franchise’s leading receiver and member of the Ring of Fame, will address the current Broncos on behalf of the ’97 team Saturday.
