Denver metro-area gas prices are averaging $2.08 per gallon to start the month of December, according to GasBuddy.com’s weekly survey of fuel stations.

Prices in Denver slid another 7.4 cents per gallon in the past week. Colorado average pump prices dropped 9.1 cents to $2.11 per gallon, making the state the 19th least expensive for unleaded gasoline.

The national average fell 1.1 cents to $2.18 per gallon, as of Sunday benchmark.

GasBuddy analyst Will Speer said that planned maintenance work at refineries is wrapping up and prices should continue their declines.

“Improving refinery rates paired with (West Texas Intermediate)-crude trading steadily around the $46 per barrel range will keep downward pressure on gas prices through November,” Speer said in a statement.
