Denver police are investigating after an SUV slammed into a market on East Colfax Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, lodging inside a building housing the business.
Police say there were “thankfully” no injuries in the collision.
The SUV drove into Marczyk’s, a fine food market, near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Fairfax Street about 12:30 p.m.
Officers arrested the SUV’s driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. Authorities did not immediately release the driver’s name.
The eastbound lanes of Colfax reopened about 2:45 p.m.
