Three out of four wards in Northglenn have new City Council members after the polls closed Tuesday.

Becky Brown beat Gaye Monroe for the Ward 2 seat vacated by Leslie Carrico. Brown secured 60 percent of the votes over Monroe — 668 to 429 ballots total.

In Ward 4, Antonio Esquibel beat two other new opponents for Gene Wieneke’s old seat. Out of 1,853 votes, Esquibel received 692 (37 percent).

Newcomer Jordan Sauers ran unopposed for Wayne Dodge’s vacated Ward 1 seat.

Incumbent Marci Whitman for Ward 3 ran unopposed.
