Saturday. Despite its cyclical popularity on TV and in movies, live magic shows are alive and well on stages across the country. This weekend’s 10th annual “Magic Beyond Belief” — the annual live extravaganza of the Mile High Magicians Society — will reinforce that with family-friendly performances from Mysto the Magi, Chad Wonder, Keir Royale, Greg Tobo, Jeff Jenson, John T. Sheets, Matthew Brandt and more (including, for the first time, Joe Givan and Carol Massie, the internationally touring owners of Castle Rock’s Theatre of Dreams). The two-hour show, which typically sells out, will be preceded by close-up magic in the lobby of the Lakewood Cultural Center. 7 p.m. Nov. 7 at 470 S. Allison Parkway. $25. 303-987-7845 or .
