Presidential candidate Ben Carson speaks during Republican Presidential Debate at the Milwaukee Theatre Nov. 10 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (Scott Olson, Getty Images)
The first question asked of Dr. Ben Carson in Tuesday nightap Republican presidential debate was whether he would support a raise of the minimum wage to $15 per hour. His answer was appalling. He said he believed that people should work harder and not be “given” things. Does he realize the minimum wage only affects those who work for an hourly salary? They are not asking to be given anything except a living wage for the work they perform. Would he recommend that these people work 12- to 14-hour days?
Carson should be asked when he last worked for an hourly wage and whether he felt he could support his family on the money he brought home. What ignorance.
