Police pursued a vehicle, believed to be carjacked, through the west side of Denver Friday evening.
The chase, during the evening rush hour, was called off by Denver police, according to a Denver Police Department 5:24 p.m. Tweeter post.
The car was stolen on Oct. 31, police said.
A television news helicopter continued to follow the suspect vehicle after police called off pursuit.
Denver7 News reported at 5:22 p.m. on Twitter that the driver of the car, a red Dodge, parked in a carport near West 20th Avenue and Robb Street, Lakewood.
Police arrived a short time later the Denver7 Twitter post said.
