Artist development program Red Bull Sound Select has announced the lineup for its year-end concert series in Denver.
Experimental rock band Battles will headline the Bluebird Theatre on Dec. 17 with help from openers Bayonne and RumTum. Up-and-coming folk-rapper Raury will top the marquee with The Reminders and Lily Fangz at the Larimer Lounge on Dec. 18.

Red Bull Sound Select has a history of bringing national underground talent to Denver. This year alone, the program has organized shows for the likes of The Internet, Dam Funk and Tokimonsta.

Sound Select has a knack for picking artist on the rise, and the year-end concerts’ headliners are no exception. Raury has performed with OutKast, Kid Cudi and made a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. His new album, “All We Need,” made a splash when it hit shelves earlier this year, . Battles came into the national spotlight just under a decade ago with their excellent debut album, “Mirrored.” Since then, they’ve built a loyal following based off of their manic verve in the studio and on stage.
