Toll rates will go up on E-470 in 2016, with mainline toll rates going up by 10 cents and ramp tolls increasing 5 cents.
The rate increases apply to both ExpressToll and license plate tolls. E-470 customers who pay their tolls using ExpressToll transponders will continue to pay about 20 percent less than customers billed through their license plates, say E-470 officials.
2016 toll rates for a two-axle vehicle will be:
• Express toll: The rate at Toll Plaza A, between Chambers Road and Peoria Street, will be $2.60; the rate will be $2.85 at the other four toll plazas. Ramp tolls will be $1.20.
• License plate tolls: The rate at Toll Plaza A will be $3.25; the rate will be $3.55 at the other four toll plazas. Ramp tolls will be $1.50.
