The Ethiopian Community Development Council’s of Denver will provide a first Thanksgiving dinner to new refugees in Colorado on Monday night.
The public is invited to the eighth annual multicultural potluck dinner to welcome the newest refugees to the region in the tradition of the first pilgrims. The feast is from 6 to 9 p.m, at the Assumption of the Theo tokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Denver at 4610 E. Alameda Ave. in Denver.
The celebration will include a band performing songs from a variety of cultures, as well as African Community Center staff and volunteers raffling Thanksgiving baskets.
There also will be activities for children, including face-painting and pumpkin decorating.
